West Windsor, N.J. – Season greetings, a few months early. Auditions for “’Twas the Night Before Christmas,” a show that has become an annual holiday tradition at Kelsey Theatre,will be held at Mercer County Community CollegeonSaturday Sept. 24, 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 25 from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Families, including children ages 7 and older, are welcome to audition. Roles for both children and adults are open.
Presented by MCCC’s Kelsey Players, the book, music and lyrics for “’Twas” are by Bruce Craig Miller. The show is directed by long-time Kelsey performer Tom Bessellieu with musical direction by Pat Masterson and choreography by Nicole Farina-Machin.
Auditioners should prepare a short monologue or Christmas poem (no longer than one minute) and a song (Christmas carol preferred; sheet music required.) They should also be prepared to dance. Resumes and photos are requested if available. And don’t forget to bring your Christmas cheer! Roles include poet Clement Moore, wife Eliza Moore, their daughters, and a variety of ensemble cast members.
Performances will take place at Kelsey Theatre Friday, Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday Dec. 10 at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 11 at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
