Kateri Environmental Center, Marlboro, will present the story of Irish Jack on Oct. 28 and Oct. 29.
For the 25th year, Kateri will present this enchanting live drama that tells the origins of Halloween. The woodland trails are lighted with more than 250 jack o’ lanterns. Visitors walk through the woods and meet the characters along the way as the story unfolds.
The event is for children ages 5 through 12 and accompanying adults. Tickets are $15 per person and are on sale now. Call 732-946-9694 to purchase tickets.
As guests walk through the woods on a crisp autumn night, they will stop to meet the characters in a drama that unfolds along the path. Since 1987, children have marveled at the adventures of Irish Jack and the first Jack O’Lantern, an original drama performed along the winding woodland trails at Kateri Environmental Center.
While some Halloween programs are designed to frighten, this event is designed to educate and enchant, according to a press release. Kateri Center is part of Collier Youth Services at 160 Conover Road in the Wickatunk section of Marlboro.
The shows start every 15 minutes, beginning at 6:45 p.m.
