Annual Autism Benefest Saturday

SEA BRIGHT — The fifth annual Autism Benefest will take place noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Mad Hatter. Local bands will volunteer their time to raise funds for Autism Speaks and increase awareness.

Joe Hughes, lead vocalist for Goldenseal, will headline the event.

Other musical talent scheduled to perform include Pat Guadagno, Danny Rongo, Bobby Strange, Matt Wade, Temporary Grace, Jamming With The Boys, DNA and the BillyWalton Band.

In addition to local bands, the Benefest will feature a dunk tank, silent auction and raffles. Admission is $10 and all proceeds will be donated to Autism Speaks (www.autismspeaks.org), a nonprofit dedicated to finding effective treatments, prevention, and a cure for autism spectrum disorders and to broadening awareness and understanding of autism.
