Mr. Gerlach, 45, of the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge, died Sept. 11, 2011, at home. He was employed as a laborer with Masons Union No. 594, East Brunswick. He was predeceased by his father, Edward J. Gerlach Jr. Sruviving are his mother, Joann Sendatch Gerlach of Toms River; a sister, Robin Alexander, and her husband, John, also of Toms River; a brother, Edward John Gerlach III of Laurence Harbor; and a nephew. Services were held at Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Cremation was private.
