The Howell Chamber of Commerce will host a Medical Expo from 5:30-8 p.m. Oct. 11 at CentraState Medical Center’s Star and Barry Tobias Ambulatory Campus, 901 W. Main St., Freehold Township. A Breakfast Bonanza networking event hosted by the Howell Chamber of Commerce will be held at Kumon Learning, 4242 Route 9 south, Howell, from 8-9:30 a.m. Oct. 14. Dr. Steven Zodkoy, the chairman of the Nutrition Education Council for the Association of New Jersey Chiropractors (ANJC), has been selected to join the Department of Defense’s Joint Civilian Orientation Conference (JCOC).
Zodkoy, whose practice is in Freehold, has been working with the U.S. Marine Corps on alternative therapies for post-traumatic stress disorder and suicide prevention. Zodkoy is the first chiropractor to ever be selected for this program.
The JCOC is a program sponsored by the U.S. Secretary of Defense for civilian public opinion leaders who are interested in increasing their knowledge of the military and national defense issues. Nomination and selection procedures are designed to bring together a geographical, professional and cultural cross-section of Americans who are leaders in their fields.

Tangles Hair Studio in Exclusive Plaza, 332 Route 9, Marlboro, will host a cut-athon from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 16. All proceeds will be donated to the Susan B. Komen foundation for breast cancer research. Haircuts will be $20 for men, $35 for women and $20 for children. Blowouts will be available at a cost of $20 per person.
