Mr. Cartiglia, 78, of Freehold Township, formerly of Staten Island, N.Y., died Sept. 1, 2011, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Prior to retiring, he was employed as a butcher for Cangiano’s Pork Store, Staten Island. Before that, he was a meat supervisor for Dairy Dell Caterers and was the owner of C & S Meat Market, Brooklyn, N.Y. Surviving are his wife, Jean; two sons, Salvatore Cartiglia of Staten Island and Al Cartiglia and his wife, Marilyn, of Lakewood; four grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a brother, Salvatore Cartiglia of California; and two sisters, Carmella Romano of Boca Raton, Fla., and Sally Ingrassia of Staten Island. A funeral Mass was offered at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Freehold Township, followed by interment in Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan.
