James Richvalsky has been appointed vice president of physician practice management at CentraState Healthcare System, Freehold Township. In his newly created position with CentraState, Richvalsky is responsible for growing CentraState Medical Associates, a primary care physician network, to secure future strategic goals for the health care system and for developing strong relationships with independent medical practices in CentraState’s service area to tighten physician/health care system alignment. Richvalsky was previously the chief operating officer of a 34-physician primary care practice in Lynchburg, Va., from 2007-11. Prior to that position he was director of physician practices at Nanticoke Health System in Seaford, Del., from 2005-07.

The Total Joint Center of New Jersey at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township, has earned the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal ofApproval in the areas of knee and hip as part of the Joint Commission’s Disease-Specific Care Certification Program, and is in compliance with national standards. The Joint Commission only issues its approval for orthopedic joint replacement programs that have established a well-run disease management program. The Total Joint Center of New Jersey is the only center in Monmouth County to achieve disease specific certification in joint replacement.

The Hire a Veteran Job Fair will be held at the Merri-Makers catering facility at the PNC Bank Reception Center, Exit 116, off the Garden State Parkway, Holmdel. Exhibit tables are available for $200 each to those employers seeking well-qualified men and women in the military who have returned home.

The $200 fee will be donated to the G.I. Go Fund, a nonprofit troop support organization that helps military veterans and their spouses find jobs. Harmony Bank, with headquarters in Jackson, recently announced that it has closed on a $3.5 million sale of preferred stock to the U.S. Department of the Treasury as part of the U.S. Treasury’s Small Business Lending Fund program, established by Congress under the Small Business Jobs Act of 2010.
