The 5K-walk (3.1 miles), held in multiple cities across the country, is designed to raise awareness of hearing loss and to help eradicate the stigma associated with the condition. Candlelight Historic Cemetery Tours, sponsored by the East Brunswick Museum Corporation, every 15 minutes, 5-8:30 p.m., at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Old Bridge Turnpike and Gunia Street, East Brunswick. Costumed re-enactors in historic dress will participate with displays and a narrative depicting the “village resident” they represent. In celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, residents who lived in the village and surrounding area during that era will be featured. More than 500 luminaries (lights) will outline walking path for the self-guided tour. Refreshments available at the end of the walk. Museum open during evening tours.
