The first MudManX event is coming to FirstEnergy Park in Lakewood on Oct. 22.
MudManX is a 5-mile mud run filled with obstacles such as cargo nets, barricades, pools of water, mud pits and fiery trails designed to test mastery of the four primary elements: earth, wind, fire and water. There will be 20 obstacles over the 5-mile course.
Registration is made online at Mud- ManX.com and is $95.
The top three finishers in all categories will receive cash and prizes. Local bands and DJs will be performing throughout the event, which also includes a post-race party for families and friends of the participants, as well as anyone who would like to come watch this event.
As the 5-mile course is physically draining, it is recommended that participants train in advance as they would for other types of races.
