LONG BRANCH — The Free Public Library will host a one-woman show that offers portraits of three formidable first ladies. Written by Eric H. Weinberger with Elaine Bromka and starring Bromka, the play is a reimagining of three women who suddenly found themselves celebrities.
It is a behind-the-scenes look at Lady Bird Johnson, Pat Nixon and Betty Ford, revealing the personal cost of what Mrs. Nixon called the “hardest unpaid job in the world.”
The program will take place Saturday, Oct. 15, at 2 p.m. at the Main Library, 328 Broadway.
This program is free and open to the public. Call 732-222-3900 or visit www.lmxac.org/longbranch for more information.
