Mr. Leonhardt, 72, of the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge, died Oct. 4, 2011, in CareOne at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Prior this retirement in 2005, he was employed as a mechanic with the Old Bridge Sewerage Authority, where he worked for 18 years. Surviving are his wife, Louise Lloyd Leonhardt; four children, David Leonhardt of Jackson, Michelle Canfield, and her husband, Jeff, of Egg Harbor, Charles Jr., and his wife, Wendy, of East Brunswick and Richard, and his wife, Valerie, of Old Bridge; a brother, William Leonhardt, and his wife, Sandra, ofWilkes-Barre, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation was held at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge. Additional visitation and services were held at Mamary-Durkin Funeral Service, Wilkes-Barre. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township, Pa.
