Mr. LaMel, 75, of Jackson, died Oct. 5, 2011, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in theAir Force. For many years, Mr. LaMel was employed by ShopRite, Freehold. He was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Margaret; a son, Joseph; and five siblings, William, Sydney, Eva, Lillie and Marilyn. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Debra; two daughters and a son-in-law, Debra LaMel and Donna and George Weiss; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Interment was private. Arrangements were under the direction of the Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold.
