Mr. Cardone, 84, of Jackson, died Oct. 14, 2011, at Bartley Healthcare, Jackson. Prior to retiring in 1987, he was employed for 30 years as a sanitation engineer for the City of New York. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and earned the Victory Medal. He was predeceased by a brother, Carl Cardone. Surviving are a sister in-law, Margaret Cardone; and many family members. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Memorial donations may be made to the Ocean County Veterans Service Bureau, 1027 Hooper Ave., Building No. 2, Toms River, NJ 08753. Arrangements were by the George S. Hassler Funeral Home, Jackson.
