BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP: Man charged in township woman’s strangulation death

   BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP — A Hamilton Township man is being held on $1 million bail, charged with strangling a Bordentown Township woman in her Bradford Pointe apartment on Nov. 7.
   The arrest of Noel Irizarry, 41, of 206 Harrison Ave., Hamilton, Was announced by Burlington County Prosecutor Robert D. Bernardi and Bordentown Township Police Chief Frank M. Nucera Jr.
   Mr. Irizarry was charged with one count of murder for causing the death of Misty D. Ramos, 31, of 122 Bradford Court.
   He was taken into custody at the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office. Bail, no 10 percent, was set by state Superior Court Judge Michael J. Hogan in Mount Holly. The defendant was scheduled to have his first appearance Nov.11 in Superior Court.Police said the investigation revealed that Mr. Irizarry and the victim were involved in a romantic relationship. On Nov. 7, Mr. Irizarry went to see the victim in her home and strangled her during the course of an argument, according to the Prosecutor’s Office..
   An autopsy performed Nov. 8 by Burlington County Medical Examiner Dr. Ian Hood concluded that the manner of death was homicide and the cause was manual strangulation.
   Bordentown Township police were called to the home of the victim on Nov. 7 at approximately 7:30 p.m. by family members who had become worried that she failed to pick up her child as previously planned.
   Detectives from the Bordentown Township Police Department and the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit conducted the investigation.
