Small- and medium-sized business owners are invited to the New Jersey Business Growth Summit on Nov. 17.

Christopher Spaulding and Patrick Fowler, of North Brunswick, established the Sales Professional Forum to help smallbusiness owners share techniques to help other small-business owners survive and thrive.

Now, the inaugural summit event will provide information exchange in the areas of negotiation, innovation, product development and sales on a larger scale. The summit will provide a platform for business professionals from various industries to learn from and engage with experts and peers in the academic, business and government sectors. “The Sales Professional Forums have been very successful. We have members from many industries including automotive sales, financial training, marketing professionals, SEO, media, transportation, technology, financial services, food services and catering, education, personal growth and development and many other fields,” Fowler said. “It was through the success of the Sales Professional Forum and the contacts we made through it that inspired us to host a one-day conference with the goal of arming business owners, sales and marketing professionals with the tools necessary to thrive. Our goal was to provide small- and medium-sized business owners with an extraordinary education, networking, business and personal growth event and a reasonable price point. We have achieved that in the NJ business growth summit.”

The keynote speaker will be Dr. Ben Sopranzetti, of the Rutgers Business School, who will speak about how negotiation drives business growth. Elizabeth Mackay, the director of Small Business Advocacy for the New Jersey Department of State, will address stimulating business growth in New Jersey.

“Through the sales forum, the networking and educational opportunities have been astounding. Members tell us they have never been part of a group [that] gives them so many benefits. They are able to learn and make connections,” Fowler said. “The NJBGS will offer these same benefits on a larger scale.”

The event will be held Nov. 17 at the Pines Manor in Edison.
