Mrs. Bernabeu, 79, formerly of Middletown and more recently of Fleming Island, Fla., died Oct. 31, 2011, in Florida. She had worked as a secretary at Grumman Aerospace Corp. in Bethpage, N.Y. Mrs. Bernabeu was predeceased by her husband, Henry J., in 2009. Surviving are three sons, Paul of Fair Haven, Richard of Jacksonville, Fla., and Steven of Aldie, Va.; a sister, Nancy Kubik of Whiting; and seven grandchildren. AMass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Church of the Nativity, Fair Haven. Interment followed at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover, Burlington County. Arrangements were by the Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank.
