‘Wretched Asylum’ comes to the Grange

“Wretched Asylum,” an original drama by Monmouth County playwright Joe Simonelli, will begin a six-performance run at the Grange Playhouse.

Show dates are Nov. 11 and 12 at 8 p.m., and a Sunday matinee performance on Nov. 13 at 3 p.m.

The Grange Playhouse is at 4860 Route 9 south, Howell. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $12 for seniors and students.

“Wretched Asylum” is an adult drama about two divorced sexual compulsives who are thrown together in a relationship of love, hate and betrayal. The two-person drama first debuted to critical acclaim at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre in New York City in 2009.

The cast includes Simonelli regulars Debbie O’Brien of Aberdeen and Tim Kelsey of Freehold. The play is being directed by Jeff Caplan of Toms River. For ticket information and reservations, call 732-984-7128.
