The Metuchen-Edison Gesher of Hadassah will hold its second annual Judaica Needlework and Crafts Night at 7 p.m. Nov. 30 at Congregation Neve Shalom, 250 Grove Ave., Metuchen.
The event will feature the works of three local artisans. Lenore Boyarin will display and talk about her Judaica-themed needlepoint works, Mindy Paris-Thurer will showcase and discuss her knitted and felted kippot, and Cathy Salamon-Geardino will introduce her art of making women’s head coverings from wire and glass beads, crystals, and/or semiprecious unpolished stones.
The event is not hands-on, but rather a journey into the inspiration and stories behind the creation of the items. The event is open to the public, and there is no charge to attend. For further information, contact Joan Emmer at 732-548-9565.
