Bake sale: Sacred Heart Altar Rosary Society will offer goods at the Sacred Heart Church, South Main and Filak streets, before and after weekend Masses, beginning with 6 p.m. Saturday service.

November calendar: Public library hours changed to 9 a.m.-2 p.m. for one day. Library will be closed from Nov. 24–26 for Thanksgiving.

Toys for Tots: The local Marine Corps League Detachment 1284 will collect new, unwrapped toys and distribute them as Christmas gifts to needy children.
Drop new, unwrapped toys at the American Legion Post 304, 429 South Main St., after 3 p.m. or at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main St. A marked drop-off box is inside the rear door marked “flower room.”

Blood pressure checks: Second Thursday of the month, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., VFW.
Public library book sale: Buy donated and surplus books to support the library. Through Saturday, Oct. 15, all sale books that will fit in a bag will cost just $1. Non-sale hardcover books are 50 cents; soft-cover 25 cents each or by the bag for $2.
