Vienna Boys Choir to sing at church

FREEHOLD — The worldrenowned Vienna Boys Choir will perform at the First Presbyterian Church of Freehold, 118W. Main St., Freehold Borough, at 8 p.m. Dec. 2.

Proceeds from the concert will help to pay for repairs and improvements to the church.

The Vienna Boys Choir performed at the First Presbyterian Church in 2006 as part of the church’s concert series.

The Vienna Boys Choir is a private, not-for-profit organization of about 100 choristers between the ages of 10 and 14.

The boys are divided among four touring choirs named for composers Bruckner, Haydn, Mozart and Schubert.

The choirs perform about 300 concerts each year before almost 500,000 people around the world.

The Dec. 2 concert will be the seventh annual Christmas concert to be held at the 170-year-old landmark First Presbyterian Church.
