Mr. Franz, 70, of Jackson, died Nov. 1, 2011, at Bartley Healthcare in Jackson. He was a Eucharistic minister and member of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson. For the last three years, he worked in the admissions department at Six Flags GreatAdventure, Jackson. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Rachel Franz; two daughters, Yvonne Thomas of Jackson and Jacqueline Franz of Hamilton; two sons, George Franz Jr. of Minnesota and Robert Franz of California; five grandchildren; a brother, Walter Franz of Arizona; and his stepmother, Mildred Franz. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, followed by entombment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lakewood. Arrangements were under the direction of the George S. Hassler Funeral Home, Jackson. Memorial donations may be made to the family for a future paver placement in the St. Aloysius Altar Rosary Garden.
