I am a 63-year-old resident of Howell. I was born and raised in New Jersey. Last year in Howell we had police pay cut, workers of the township had four-day weeks, no one I know has had any pay increases and now has to pay more of their medical insurance.
Why are we hiring a director of community relations at $65,000 to $85,000. What does the township administrator do for her pay? We the taxpayers are sick of this kind of government. It is our money. I don’t know the director of community relations and have nothing against him personally, but we cannot afford him.
Enough is enough; we need to vote on pay and positions so we the taxpayers have representation.
