Mr. Hopkins, 82, of Howell, died Nov. 30, 2011. A U.S. Navy veteran, he served during the KoreanWar. Mr. Hopkins was employed as an insurance sales manager for Prudential, Toms River district, for 23 years, retiring in 1987. He was also a former Bradley Beach police officer. He was predeceased by a sister, Evelyn Thorpe. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Lois E. Hopkins of Farmingdale; a daughter, Linda Stauffer and her husband, Grant, of Farmingdale; a son, William T Hopkins and his wife, Myrle, of Atlanta, Ga.; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Herbert, of Thorpe, Ariz. A funeral service was held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township. Interment was at the Monmouth Memorial Park Cemetery, Tinton Falls.
