POLICE BLOTTER: Dec. 22, 2011

Bordentown City 
   David Stimon, 24, of Bordentown City, was stopped by police Dec. 6 and charged with having outstanding warrants in East Windsor and Hamilton totaling $1,231.
   He was searched while in custody and found to possess marijuana and also was charged with possession of CDS, police said. He was turned over to Hamilton police on their warrants.
   He awaits a court hearing on the CDS charge.
   Chief Matthew Simmons was the arresting officer, assisted by Capt. Fred Miller.
   Vincente Gilliard, 54, of Willingboro, on Dec. 10 was charged with drunken driving, reckless driving, speeding, creating the risk of an accident, failure to exhibit his driver’s license and failure to exhibit his vehicle registration.
   Police clocked Mr. Gilliard’s car going 58 mph in a 40-mph zone on Route 130 south, police said.
   He was released to a family member with a court date later this month.
   Patrolman Dan Anderson was the arresting officer.
Bordentown Township 
   Dec. 15 at 2:02 p.m., Nicholas W. Powell, 26, of 192 Crosswicks Road, Bordentown, was killed in an accident at Route 206 and Park Street.
   Police said his vehicle was off the road and resting against the concrete ConRail bridge support. There was extensive frond-end damage, and Mr. Powell was trapped inside.
   Mission Fire Company extricated Mr. Powell, who was pronounced dead at the scene by medics from Virtua Memorial Hospital.
   Police said witnesses said the vehicle was driving on the shoulder of Route 206 South, then went off the road, crashed through a guardrail and traffic light standard and hit a steel bridge support.
   There were no other vehicles involved. Police are investigating.
Florence 
   Arron C. Mencado, 22, of Windingbrook Road, Bordentown, and Megan R. Tuck, 22, of Fort Worth, on Dec. 12 both were charged with possession of a weapon.
   Police observed the pair walking on 7th Street and Route 130 with straight blade knives hanging from their belts, police said. They were processed and taken to Burlington County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail each, no 10 percent.
   Neil J. Stevens, 20, of Amboy Avenue, Roebling, and James M. Martinson, 21, of Riverbank Drive, Roebling, on Dec. 12 were each charged with burglary, conspiracy, criminal mischief and trespassing.
   Police said the pair entered a residence on Bustleton Road in Florence at 12:56 a.m. When the owner awoke and confronted them they fled, police said.
   The homeowner was able to catch Mr. Stevens, police said, but the second man later was found and arrested by police.
   Mr. Stevens was taken to Burlington County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail. Mr. Martinson posted $10,000 bail and was released. Both have a December court date.
   Luis H. Salazar-Jacobo, 30, of Arrowhead Drive, Burlington, was charged with drunken driving Monday at 1:18 a.m.
   Mr. Salazar-Jacobo was stopped for a traffic violation, police said,
   He also was charged with failure to maintain lane and reckless driving and was released to a friend.
   Nicole Cestare, 26, of Hamilton Square, was charged with drunken driving Saturday at 1:53 a.m.
   Ms. Cestare was stopped for a traffic violation, police said.
   She also was charged with speeding, making an unsafe land change and reckless driving and released without bail.
Mansfield 
   Michael Peck, 55, of Lakehurst, died Saturday at about 9:30 p.m. on Florence Road.
   Police went to 1195 Florence Road for a report of an overturned vehicle. They found a single vehicle off the road.
   Mr. Peck was taken to Virtua Mt. Holly, where he was pronounced dead.
   The investigation is continuing.
