The Eatontown Public Library and the Eatontown Friends of the Library will hold their biannual book sale for the whole month of February. The library, located at 33 Broad St., will be selling new and gently used books, magazines, DVDs, best sellers, cookbooks, etc. The majority of books will be sold for $1 to $5. Details: 732-389-2665.
The Cancer Support Community, 613 Hope Road, Eatontown, will present “Managing Anxiety & Depression Related to the Cancer Experience” 6:30-8 p.m. Jan. 11. Dr. Karen Lang, psychiatrist, is the guest speaker for an informal discussion focusing on the wide range of emotions experienced by people affected by cancer, as well as the feelings experienced by their loved ones. Learn the signs, symptoms and treatment options for anxiety and depression, as well as when to seek help. A light meal will be provided. Join Diane Todd, reiki master and instructor, to learn about and experience the relaxation benefits of the energy therapy called reiki. Following a discussion about the human energy body, participants will be guided through a relaxation meditation and then experience hands-on reiki.
