Mr. Hansell, 44, of Monroe Township, died Dec. 18, 2011, at Somerset Medical Center. Born and raised in South Amboy, he had lived in Dover and Hoboken before moving to Monroe in 2005. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and was a database administrator for HBO, New York City, for more than eight years. Surviving are his partner of 10-plus years, John F. Meeks of Monroe Township; his mother, Phyllis (Muckin) Hansell of South Amboy; two sisters and their husbands, Barbara and Kevin Finnegan of South Amboy and Patricia and Jerry Reifsnyder of the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick; two sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law; and two nieces and a nephew. A funeral service was held at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Monroe Township. Cremation was private.
