One Night With Elvis – January 21

By Mahoney Brothers
On Saturday, January 21 at 8:00 PM, Elvis fans can celebrate what would have been the King of Rock and Roll’s 77th birthday this month (and 2012 marking 35 years since his passing), with the brand new live stage production "One Night With Elvis" at the Brookdale Community College Performing Arts Center in Lincroft, NJ.
The production stars critically acclaimed Mike Mahoney as Elvis Presley and is produced by New Jersey’s own The Mahoney Brothers, veterans of Broadway’s "Beatlemania", "Dick Clark’s Golden Age of Television", "Legends in Concert", and the long-running "Jukebox Heroes Live!" musical impersonation show.  Using multi-media visuals, period staging, and a live backing band, "One Night With Elvis" features over two dozen Elvis songs, spanning from his rockabilly beginnings and 1960’s movie years, all the way to his legendary Las Vegas concerts of the 1970’s.  The January 21 performance marks the New Jersey debut of the show which is coming off several sold out performances in Boston, MA, in December, and is being recorded for an upcoming live CD release later in 2012.
"I have always thought that Elvis had the best voice in rock and roll, and, as a live act, was second to none" says Mike Mahoney.  "I try to be respectful of his memory while doing my best to capture his look, sound, and performing style.  Although ‘Jukebox Heroes Live’ has given me a chance to give audiences a quick taste of Elvis in concert, this new show lets me stretch out and fully convey his on stage repertoire and persona".
Tickets are $30 for general admission, or $99 for a four-pak, and can be purchased online at MahoneyBros.com or by phone at (732) 671-6950.  The Brookdale CC Performing Arts Center is located at Brookdale Community College (Parking Lot 2), 765 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, NJ 07738.
