• A fish fry sponsored by the New Egypt Elks, 105 Lakewood Road, New Egypt, will be held 6-8 p.m. Jan. 13 at the lodge. The cost for a fish dinner is $9 (two pieces) and $10 (three pieces). Chicken will be available for $8 (two pieces) and $9 (three pieces). All children’s dinners are $5. Includes sides, desserts and beverages. Take-out is available. • A turkey dinner to help raise funds for the people of Turkey will be held 4-7 p.m. Jan. 14 at the New Egypt United Methodist Church, 38 N. Main St., New Egypt. All proceeds will be sent to United Methodist Committee on Relief’s Turkey fund, which provides the people with shelter and food while they recuperate from the earthquakes that occurred in October and November. The cost is $10 for adults; $5 for children up to and including 12 years of age.
