The Monmouth Museum is hosting the 33rd annual Juried Art Exhibition showcasing the work of selected artists, including many who are part of the local arts scene. The exhibition opened Jan. 14 and will run through Feb. 26 at the museum, located on the campus of Brookdale Community College .
This international exhibition features more than 60 works by artists working in a variety of genres and media. Each year selected artists in the exhibition are recognized and honored with awards. This year’s selecting juror and judge is Island Weiss, of Island Weiss Gallery, New York.
Artists from Monmouth County chosen to participate in the exhibition include Michael Ferrara of West Keansburg, Cheryl Griesbach of Highlands, Paul Lenz of Colts Neck, Laura Petrovich-Cheney of Asbury Park, and Barbara Fehrs, Beverly Hertler and Terrill Warrenburg, of Red Bank.
Founded by the Monmouth County Arts Council in 1979, the annual juried exhibit has been held at the Monmouth Museum for the past 33 years. Last year the museum assumed complete sponsorship of this annual exhibition.
