The “No Stigma” support group for young adults aged 18 to 29 and adults over the age of 30 with attention deficit disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, bipolar disorder, depression, or other mental illness or brain disorder, is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 21, 10 a.m. to noon at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold Township.
The meeting’s theme is “Delete Stress” with Kelly Brown, certified holistic, yoga and meditation instructor.
The group is free to attend, and geared toward those with a vision to lead a healthy, happy, independent and productive life without stigma, and for those who wish to meet others in a confidential, nonjudgmental atmosphere to socialize, share concerns, vent, talk about coping skills, meet professional guest speakers and more.
The unique support group is peer led, but facilitated by caregivers with both professional and nonprofessional backgrounds.
The group is hosted at CentraState Medical Center, Star and Barry Tobias Ambulatory Campus, Health Awareness Center at 901W. Main St., Suite 100, Freehold.
