Mon. Reform Temple to host interfaith panel

TINTON FALLS — Monmouth Reform Temple invites the community at large to an informative interfaith panel discussion, “Life Cycle Events: How We Recognize Major Moments in Our Lives.” This event, free and open to everyone, will be held at the Tinton Falls temple on Sunday, Jan. 22. Registration and refreshments will be available 2:15–3 p.m., followed by the panel discussion from 3 to 5 p.m. Birth, coming of age and burial rituals will highlight the discussion. But other commentary is expected.

Moderated by Monmouth Reform Temple Rabbi Michelle Pearlman, panelists include the Rev. David McKirachan, of the Presbyterian Church at Shrewsbury; Rabbi Sally J. Priesand, rabbi emerita of Monmouth Reform Temple; Imam Sohaib Sultan, chaplain at Princeton University; and the Rev. Francis Berna, director of M.A. and Th.D. programs at La Salle University and weekend assistant at St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Red Bank.
