The Kuhnert family would like to express our deepest gratitude to Freehold Borough High School boys basketball coach Ben DiBiase and Freehold Township High School boys basketball coach Brian Golub.
Their passion and determination to establish the first annual Kuhnert Classic in order to keep the memory and legacy of Jack Kuhnert alive was a true gift.
We were amazed at the sellout crowd and the outpouring of love and support for Coach Kuhnert and our family.
We would further like to thank Freehold Regional High School District Board of Education President Heshy Moses and former Freehold Borough basketball players Adam Gundaker and Tim Perry for their tributes to Jack.
Freehold Township High School and Happy Time Day Camp alumna Marni Elliott performed a beautiful rendition of the national anthem and we sincerely appreciate her participation. It was such a pleasure to reconnect with former Borough and Township players who returned for this game.
We are also grateful to the current teams whose competitiveness and sportsmanship provided an exciting game for the spirited fans.
We look forward to future games on the newly named Kuhnert Court thanks to FRHSD Superintendent of Schools Charles Sampson.
Coach Kuhnert was an ardent supporter of the entire Freehold community. It’s not Borough or Township, we are so proud to be from Freehold. With all of our love and thanks.
