    Saturday, Feb. 4 — The Atoms R/C’ers radio-controlled flying club will hold a swap meet and auction from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hillsborough Municipal Complex to raise club awareness in the community as well as funds to start a youth pilot program. Pancake breakfast

    Sunday, Feb. 5 — The high school’s Diamond Club will hold its annual pancake breakfast 8 a.m.-1 p.m. in the municipal building.
Cost for the all-you-can-eat meal of omelets, pancakes, bacon, sausage, bagels and doughnuts — with table service — is $7 for adults and $5 for kids under 12 and seniors.
Jr. Raiders take
sports registrations
    Friday, Feb. 10 — Junior Raider football, cheer and track signups will take place from 6-9 p.m. at the Municipal Building. Students entering kindergarten to grade 8 in September 2012 are welcome to participate. Also being held on Feb. 24 (6-9 p.m.) and 25 (9 a.m. to noon).
    Participants are required to register at www.jrraiders.org. Payment is accepted in the form of credit card, check or cash. Those paying by cash or check must come in person on Feb. 10, 24 or 25. Anyone needing a jersey must come in person and get fitted.
    Families are asked to bring a food item in support of the Food Bank.

    Monday, Feb. 13 — Dine at Applebee’s at 315 Route 206 and 10 percent of your bill will be donated to the Hillsborough Volunteer Fire Co. No. 1 in Flagtown. You must present attached flyer to your server, so you can email fire36_fundraising for more info and to have the flyer emailed.
Gardeners to learn
about orchids’ care
    Thursday, Feb. 23 — The Neshanic Garden Club will hold its regular monthly meeting at 9:45 a.m. at the Station House on Olive Street, Neshanic Station.
    At 11 a.m. Susan Gange, owner/operator of Stony Brook Orchids in Pennington, will demonstrate orchid care, exhibiting and designing. Bring a bag lunch and a mug; beverages and desserts will be provided.

    Community theater — Somerset Valley Players present “Leader of the Pack: The Ellie Greenwich Musical” on weekends to Feb. 5 at theater, 689 Amwell Road (Route 514). The show features classic songs of the 1960s. Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. with Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. Admission is $18, with seniors and students at $16.
