Friday, Feb. 3
   Free dental clinic: Manville Dental Group LLC, will provide free preventive dental care to children 12 and younger from economically challenged families from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. as part of “Give Kids A Smile” national program. The office is on the corner of Main Street and Washington Avenue.
Sun., Feb. 5
   Breakfast buffet: Monthly event in auditorium of Sacred Heart Church, South Main and Filak streets. Sponsored by Sacred Heart Altar Rosary Society. 7:30 a.m.-noon. Tickets at $7 for adults will be sold at door. Children 9 and younger eat free with paying adult. 908-725-0072.
Mon., Feb. 6
   Spring sports signups: Borough department will begin to take registrations for kindergarten soccer, traveling soccer, traveling softball, and instructional baseball and softball. Evening registration will be taken Feb. 15 and March 1, 6-8 p.m. in the courtroom, and Saturday, Feb. 25, 9 a.m.-noon at Weston School. 908-725-9478, ext. 121.

   Flapjack fundraiser: Manville’s Holy Ghost Church benefit to defray the cost of church repairs from Hurricane Irene flooding. The event is at Applebee’s restaurant at 640 Promenade Blvd., Bridgewater, 8 to 10 a.m. Buy tickets at door at $10 for adults, $6 for children.    Senior citizen luncheon: Manville PBA Local 236 will host the event at noon at Fire Company No. 3 on North 8th Avenue. Register in the borough Recreation Department by Thursday, Feb. 15.

   Entertainment books: Books filled with coupons for local shopping, meals, travel to be used throughout 2012 are on sale for $30 at the senior center, 20 So. 3rd Ave.. 908-526-0175.
   Public library book sale: Buy donated and surplus books to support the library. Non-sale hardcover books are 50 cents; soft-cover 25 cents each or by the bag for $2.
