ROBBINSVILLE The Environmental Business Journal has recognized Sovereign Consulting, an environmental consulting and remediation firm headquartered in Robbinsville, as one of the top medium-sized environmental businesses in the United States.
The Environmental Business Journal (EBJ) has selected Sovereign to receive its Bronze Medal for Business Achievement in 2011 in recognition of the company’s business successes over the last five years. Sovereign’s 2011 revenue was approximately $48 million in 2011 from $26.6 million in 2007, according to a news release issued by the company last week.
During 2011, Sovereign announced the opening of its first Pacific Northwest office in Seattle and the expansion of its staff to include mine remediation and reclamation expertise. Sovereign’s federal program and remedial technology group made new strides by winning contracts with the Navy and the Maryland Department of Transportation.
”We are pleased to receive acknowledgement from EBJ,” said Ravi Gupta, president of Sovereign. “We credit our performance to a business strategy focused on hiring the best employees and offering value added services to our clients.”
EBJ will formally announce the award at the Environmental Industry Summit at the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego, California on March 14-16.
