• Black History Month will be celebrated at the Jackson Library with the Civil War movie “Glory” at 3 p.m. Feb. 9. The movie portrays the most celebrated and known African-American unit of the Civil War, the 54th Massachusetts Regiment. Register by calling 732-928-4400 or going to www.theoceancountylibrary.org.

• A fish fry sponsored by the New Egypt Elks, 105 Lakewood Road, New Egypt, will be held 6-8 p.m. Feb. 10. The cost for a fish dinner is $9 (two pieces) and $10 (three pieces). Chicken will be available for $8 (two pieces) and $9 (three pieces). All children’s dinners are $5. Includes sides, desserts and beverages. Takeout available. Dinners include all-you-caneat salad, cole slaw, rolls, dessert and beverages. Proceeds will benefit charities supported by the Elks. Details: 609-304-8469.
