Borough
Latoya Snell, 29, of Race Street, Trenton, was charged with shoplifting and hindering apprehension on Jan. 30.
Patrols responded to the CVS on Nassau Street on the report of a shoplifting in progress. While police were enroute to the store, the accused fled in a vehicle. Police stopped the vehicle on Moore Street and investigation revealed the accused had shoplifted approximately $145 worth of merchandise from the store and provided investigating officers with false information as to her identity. Ms. Snell was arrested and placed in the Mercer County Corrections Center on $2,500 bail. The stolen items were recovered.
Princeton Township
A large tree fell onto a house on Mount Lucas Road at approximately 8:20 p.m. on Jan. 23. Nobody was injured. However, the home received extensive damage rendering it uninhabitable.
Ernst Delma, 28, of Leigh Avenue, appeared in Princeton Township Municipal Court on Jan. 24, and was placed under arrest for two outstanding warrants issued from Princeton Borough Municipal Court totaling $5,000. He was turned over to the Borough police who took him to the Mercer County Detention Center after he was unable to post bail.
Isiah Advent, 20, of Trenton, was turned over to township police by state police on Jan. 25 on a criminal warrant in the amount of $2,500. He was unable to post bail and was taken to Mercer County Correctional Facility.
Manasvini N. Raghu, 30, of North Brunswick, was issued a summons for failure to yield after an accident at the intersection of Terhune Roadand Jefferson Road on Jan. 25. Mr. Raghu was involved in a collision with Elizabeth Randall, 52, of Redding Circle. He was taken to Princeton Medical Center after complaining of neck pain. Ms. Randall complained of pain in her head and neck, but refused any medical treatment. ***
Shripad Kulkarni, 39, of Edison, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, failure to keep right, failure to maintain lane and driving while intoxicated while in a school zone on Princeton-Kingston Road.
Plainsboro
Somone broke in a cashbox at Gallery Café at Novo Nordisk and stole $918. There was another unreported theft on Jan. 6 in which $1,284 was taken. Both incidents are under investigation.
Tanesha Lovett, 27, of Ewing, and Kirsten Tift, 20, of Trenton, were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia on Jan. 31 in the parking lot at University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro construction site. They were released on their own recognizance pending a first appearance at Plainsboro Township Municipal Court.
Joseph G. Skurjunis II, 20, of Robbinsville, was arrested as part of an ongoing theft investigation. He is alleged to have stolen a snow blower from the Fox Run Apartments estimated to cost $2,000, a brass sprinkler valve from The Courtyard Marriot estimated to cost $2,000 and a brass sprinkler valve from Sayre Drive estimated to cost $700. He was taken to the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center in lieu of $25,000 bail.
West Windsor
A brick was thrown through the window of the New Horizons Montessori School between 6 p.m. on Jan. 20 and 2 a.m. Jan. 21. A computer monitor valued at approximately $150 was stolen.
Errick Bryan Riddick, 29, and Melissia Cintron-Walker, 30, of Philadelphia, were arrested after a motor vehicle stop on Route 1 Jan. 23.
Ms. Cintron-Walker was charged with DWI. She also received summonses for speeding and reckless driving. Mr. Riddick was charged with possession of PCP and possession of under 50 grams of marijuana.
Montgomery
An Elm Drive home was burglarized on Jan. 30. The residents came home to find their house had been forcibly entered through a basement window. They reported jewelry, computer, money and credit cards were stolen,
On Jan. 30 police responded to an attempted burglary on County Route 601 in Belle Mead. The resident came home to find that someone had attempted to force their way into the home by smashing a rear kitchen window. No entrance was gained.
