Local top chef congratulated

Congratulations to Zachary Melker, the chef at Toscano’s Ristorante right here in Bordentown, for being chosen as one of the six top Italian chefs in the state by New Jersey Monthly magazine. There is also a great article about Zach in this month’s issue.
   Although Zach earned a degree from the French Culinary Institute in New York City, he was equally well schooled by his “nona” Emma Melker and his mom (the soup specialist).
   We have the pleasure of enjoying Zach’s wonderful meals on the fourth Tuesday of every month at the Bordentown Elks Lodge and couldn’t be happier about it.
   Way to go, Zach!
