Lambertville police reported:
— Chad Foley, 38, of New Hope, was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant subsequent to a motor vehicle stop. Officer Michael Gramlich stopped Mr. Foley on Route 29 at 7:30 a.m. after he allegedly was seen speeding. A check revealed Mr. Foley was driving with suspended driver’s license and that he had a warrant issued for his arrest by West Amwell Township for failure to appear on traffic charges. Mr. Foley was charged with speeding and driving with a suspended license. He was later released after posting $250 bail and with two pending court dates.
West Amwell Township police Lt. Stephen J. Bartzak reported:
— On Feb. 2 at 3:15 p.m., police went to a car/deer accident on Route 202 at the Mt. Airy-Dilts Corner exit. George Mark, 51 of Doylestown, was driving south when his vehicle struck the deer. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage and was towed from the scene. Patrolman Edward Skillman took the report.
— On Feb. 3 at approximately 9:28 a.m., a motor vehicle stop on Route 179 near mile post 3 resulted in police taking a 46-year-old Philadelphia man into custody on a traffic warrant. Patrolman Todd Pantuso stopped Gregory M. Johnson for having obstructed vision on a 2008 Ford van he was operating. A computer check indicated that Mr. Johnson had a traffic warrant issued for failure to appear out of Hamilton Township Municipal Court, Mays Landing. In addition, the vehicle he was operating had an expired registration. He was processed, issued motor vehicle summonses for obstructed vision on his vehicle and operating an unregistered vehicle. He was released after posting $530 cash bail.
— On Feb. 5 at 5:57 p.m., police went to a car/deer accident on Route 202 at the Mt. Airy-Dilts Corner exit. John Sevchuk, 44, of Flemington was driving north when his vehicle struck the deer. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was driven from the scene after a report was taken by Patrolman Jonathan Sellner.
New Hope police reported:
— On Jan. 31, police cited Robert Packlaian, 57, of Cape May, for issuing a bad check in the amount of $172.14, to a West Bridge Street establishment on Dec. 19, 2011.
— On Jan. 28 at 1 a.m., police cited David Goodwin, 52, of New Hope, for public drunkenness, after he was found to be in an intoxicated state on the towpath in the area of West Ferry Street.
— On Jan. 28 at 2:18 a.m., police took Michael Stapenell, 26, of Southampton, Pennsylvania, into custody for driving under the influence of alcohol, after he was seen operating his vehicle in an unlawful manner on South Main Street.
— On Jan. 20 at 3 p.m., the owner of a South Main Street establishment reported that, on Jan. 6, a statue of a mermaid was taken from a pedestal in front of her store. The statue is described as being cast iron, and stands approximately 12 inches high.
— On Jan. 11 at 12:55 p.m., a South Main Street resident reported the theft of his bicycle from a walkway along the side of his residence. The bicycle is described as a “Penny Farthing” High Wheeler, with a 50-inch front wheel and a 12-inch rear wheel. It is valued at $750.
— On Jan. 8 at 11:40 p.m., a Riverwoods Drive resident reported the theft of cement figures from in front of his residence. The figures are described as a duck and two ducklings.
— On Jan. 7 at 6:14 p.m., police cited Jose Wilfredo Delcid Benitez, 35, of Lambertville, for public drunkenness, after he created a disturbance at a South Main Street establishment.
