Stress how to handle

By ssmim
Do you get stressed? Are you juggling many things – career, kids, commute, family etc etc or are looking to find inner peace?
Then read on..
Eight years ago, someone mentioned to me to take a Breathing course.. I was surprised, and said what is there to learn.. we do it automatically like any other living thing in this universe.
The person told me you breathe differently at different situations and he asked me to see how i breathe when i am angry , then smile and breathe. He also demonstrated the long sighs which indicate sadness and the joy, surprise and excitement associated with short rapid breaths..
This made me wonder about the connection between emotion and breath. I also found that taking a deep breath further relaxes you .
I then realized learning a series of ancient breathing techniques might be interesting.
Eight years later, i find myself doing yoga, breathing techniques, and meditation. It really helped me reorient my life in a more positive direction and also helped me realize that by controlling my breath, i can handle stress better and perform more efficiently. I am able to juggle any situation effortlessly.
If anyone is interested in learning these techniques, please do the ArtofLiving Course. These courses are being offered regularly in and around princeton and they are a lot of fun.
ArtofLiving Course scheduled from Feb23-26 in West Windsor.

About the Course
The Art of Living Course teaches you practical tools to better handle the stresses of daily life. Stress increases when our capacity to handle our output is less than our input (of energy). Negative emotions – anger, regret, sadness, anxiety and fear – eat up our energy and time putting an unnecessary burden on our efforts.
Key Features of the Course
•Learn Sudarshan Kriya: immensely powerful, it incorporates specific natural rhythms of breath to release stress and purify the entire system by releasing toxins at the deepest cellular level.
•Stretching and low-impact yoga for health, circulation, and physical well-being.
•Guided meditation and breathing techniques that increase energy and deeply relax the body and mind.
•Skills for handling negative emotions and situations.
•Practical wisdom for improving focus at work and harmony in relationships.
•Guided interactive processes … lots of fun.
Medical Research says it’s a Good Idea
