MONTGOMERY — Local business leaders shared the first meal of the day with Mayor Ed Trzaska on Feb. 10 at the Princeton Elks Lodge.
Forty-five local Montgomery businesses, Mayor Trzaska and Administrator Donato Nieman gathered for the Montgomery Business Association’s first annual “Breakfast with the Mayor.”
The businesses and township discussed ideas, concerns and ways to strengthen the business community over pastries, fresh fruit and an array of yogurt, granola and berries — courtesy of the Catering Company.
”It was a wonderful opportunity to meet with the business leaders of our community. We discussed a wide range of issues and have several action items to follow-up on,” said Mayor Trzaska. “I expect this partnership of local government and business to grow and become a driver of Montgomery’s future success.”
From Mayor Trzaska and Mr. Nieman, the business community learned the background and potential possibilities for projects such as a town center and Skillman Village, allowing them to approach them in a more productive way.
”This was a good chance to learn what the township can and can’t do and how we can work with that — we must all get creative in maximizing the opportunities in front of us,” said Jennifer Pierce, the president of the Montgomery Business Association. “When it comes down to it, Montgomery businesses and Montgomery Township are sharing the same future. Health of one will bring health to the other.”
Ms. Pierce said the business community would use the information to plan their growth.
