Bring Water Back to New Hope Canal

New Group formed to Bring Water Back to New Hope Canal
Just imagine the canal in New Hope filled with water creating a beautiful setting for all to enjoy again.
With community support it is going to happen this summer.
New Hope for our Canal was recently formed to raise funds to operate the pump that provides water for the canal from Centre Bridge to New Hope and beautify the surrounding setting.
The group includes: Co-Chairpersons Kim Espat and Connie Gering, Dee Dee Bowman,Geri Delevich, Judy and Joe Franlin, Jim Hanlon, Adriana Roji, and Susan Taylor.

The group is requesting donations and is planning a variety of fund raising events in the coming months.
 New Hope for our Canal is working with Friends of the Delaware Canal Foundation, a non-profit organization, website: fodc.orgIt is also working closely with the Pennsylvania Bureau of State Parks to realize the dream of water in New Hope’s canal again.
Area residents can help by donating and attending upcoming events. Tax deductible donations checks should be made out to:  Friends of the Delaware Canal, noting it is a contribution to New Hope for our Canal. Please mail to: Friends of the Delaware Canal at 145 S. Main St, New Hope, PA 18938.
