Burglars made off with an assortment of jewelry and small electronic items, including computers, in the latest wave of break-ins to homes and garages that occurred over the past week, according to police Lt. Charles B. Edgar.
An assortment of beer, wine and liquor, as well as a leaf blower, were reported stolen from an unlocked garage at a Lumar Road residence between 9 a.m. Feb. 17 and 2 p.m. Feb. 24, Lt. Edgar said. The liquor was valued at $300 and the leaf blower at $100.
A storage container used by a snow removal contractor, located at the Princeton Pike Office Park at 3131 Princeton Pike, was entered between 8 a.m. Feb. 7 and noon on Feb. 27, but an inventory of what was stolen has not yet been provided to police, Lt. Edgar said. The lock had been cut off of the container.
The owner of the Crab Trap seafood market on Princeton Avenue also is conducting an inventory of what may have been stolen during a break-in at the business, which occurred between 7 p.m. Feb. 26 and 8:15 a.m. Feb. 27, Lt. Edgar said. It appears that the burglars broke the front door to get inside.
Jewelry, a computer and other small electronics were reported stolen from a Laurel Wood Drive home, Lt. Edgar said. The burglar broke a basement window to get inside the house, sometime between 2 p.m. Feb. 18 and 9 a.m. Feb. 20.
And a Gordon Avenue resident reported someone broke into his home between 8:40 p.m. and 10:35 p.m. Feb. 19, Lt. Edgar said. Jewelry and small electronic items were reported missing after the burglar forced his way into the house through a first-floor window.
The burglaries are under investigation by the Lawrence Township Police Department’s detective bureau, Lt. Edgar said.
