PRINCETON: 3 candidates to vie for 2 borough school seats

   The Board of Education candidate applications are in and a total of four citizens will run for board seats in the April election.
   Three board members have terms that will expire in April, leaving two borough seats and one township seat open.The Board of Education will be saying goodbye to Mia Cahill and Charles Kalmbach, who have chosen to retire from the board after their terms expire in April.
   Board president Rebecca Cox’s term also expires this year, but she will be running run again for another three-year term as a borough resident. Candidates Martha Land and Dudley Sipprelle will also vie for the two borough seats.
   Candidate Patrick Sullivan is the only township resident who filed a candidate application and will automatically replace board member Mia Cahill.
   The deadline for filing was Feb. 27 by 4 p.m.
   This will be the last year candidates are categorized by their residence due to the upcoming consolidation where the two Princetons will unite in 2013.
   Citizens will be able to vote on the candidates at the April 17 election. Polls will be held at Suzanne Patterson Center, Princeton High School, John Witherspoon Middle School, Community Park School, Johnson Park School, Littlebrook School or Riverside School.    All polls will be open from noon to 9 p.m.
