What is Simplicity Parenting?
·        A group program for parents based on the book, Simplicity Parenting, by  Kim John Payne
·        5-12 participants, 7 sessions over 14 weeks
·        An effective blend of discussion, support, learning and integration
·        Creates small changes that have a big effect on family life
·        Enhances the loving connection at home
·        Unites parents in the shared journey of parenting
·        Explores how to connect your parenting style and skills with your family values
The four realms for simplifying-
o   1-Environment-declutter ‘too much stuff’ at home. Create a more relaxed home environment.
o   2-Rhythm-establish predictability in a family’s day, week, year.
o   3-Scheduling-Bringing balance to a child’s  life between activity and space to “just be.”
o   4-Filtering out-Reducing the influence of adult concerns, media and consumerism on children to increase resiliency and emotional intelligence and reduce stress.
 When-Tuesdays at 7:30pm  beginning March 20th.  There will be seven sessions over fourteen weeks.

Fees-$135, includes materials for class. Spouse/Parenting partner-$80. ( Does not include a copy of the book “Simplicity Parenting.”)
Who-This program will be facilitated by Lorraine Shiarappa, a certified Simplicity Parenting Group Leader. Lorraine is an educator with over 25 years experience in public, private and Waldorf schools. She is currently Director of Lifespan Religious Education at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Princeton.
