Gary V. Mason, 49, of Trenton, was charged with driving under the influence and eight additional violations after he was driving southbound in the northbound lanes of Brunswick Pike at 1:54 a.m. on March 6, according to the Lawrence Township Police Department.
A caller told police that a car was driving erratically, according to reports. Police said Mr. Mason was observed driving in the wrong lanes near Slack Avenue by two officers.
Police said Mr. Mason turned the car around and began driving in the middle of Brunswick Pike southbound, before he was pulled over by officers near Maplewood Avenue.
He was issued summonses for driving under the influence, driving under the influence in a school zone, reckless driving, refusal to take a breathalyzer test, failure to maintain his lane, driving the wrong way, improper signal, careless driving and obstruction of traffic.
He was released several hours later.
