Free concert: The Long Gone Daddies, playing a mix of music, will perform on Tuesday, March 13, from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Community Room. If it’s inclement weather, date will be pushed to March 20. The public is invited. Light refreshments will be served.

Free movie night: “Zookeeper,” starring Kevin James, will be shown Wednesday, March 7, at 5:45 p.m.
Art Society works: Fascinating and incredible masterpieces by Manville high and intermediate school students will be on display at the library from Wednesday, March 14, to Friday, April 6. The public is welcome.
Tax help for seniors: AARP volunteers will be available to prepare senior citizens’ income tax forms for free at the library by appointment only until April 12. The library will only provide the Community Room and the Quiet Room. The hours are noon to 5 p.m. Make appointments by calling 908-541-5710.
Display case: A fascinating “Smurfs” collection by Michelle Tharp and Mary Klein starting from 1980s is on display until March 10. If you have a hobby or collection that you would like to exhibit in the display case at the entrance to the library, call Barbara Forbes at 908-722-9722.
Chess class: The free class, which is open to all ages, will meet in the Quiet Room Thursday nights from 6:30 to 8. All are welcome.
Hungry Readers Book Club: The club meets from noon to 1 p.m. on the second Monday of each month. All are welcome. Call Beverly Ball at 908-722-3057.
Gifts for the library: If you have new books, DVDs and CDs that you no longer need, please consider donating them to the library. In addition, monetary contributions are accepted. Your donations are IRS tax deductible. Due to budget cuts, donations are needed and appreciated. In advance, the library thanks everyone for their generosity.
Books for sale: The library has ongoing book sale of a variety of children’s, juvenile non-fiction, biography, fiction, non-fiction, mystery, science fiction and more. Hardcover books sell for 50 cents, softcover 25 cents or by the bag for $2. VHS tapes are three for $1.
Crochet and Knitting Club Too: The club meeting for Wednesday, Feb. 29, has been cancelled. The next meeting will by Wednesday, March 25, from 6:15-8 p.m. in the Community Room. Bring your yarn and needles and join us. All are welcome, whether you are a novice or experienced.
Cost of copies: Due to the cost of ink cartridges, the library Board of Trustees has raised the price of copies. All black-and-white copies are 25 cents per copy. Color copies are 50 cents.
