MANVILLE: Auxiliary set to serve steak dinner

By Mary Ellen Zangara, Special Writer
”Spring” is in the air as the Manville Rescue Squad Auxiliary hosts the 10th annual All You Can Eat Filet Mignon Dinner. The annual themed dinner is being held Saturday at the VFW Hall on Washington Avenue.
Chairperson Josephine Pschar along with co chairperson Rose Fetchko and the members of the auxiliary have been planning the annual fundraiser for months. The dinner is just one of the two major fundraisers sponsored by the auxiliary. The other being the Food Fest held in the fall and the semiannual flea markets which also help the rescue squad.
”This is our 10th year doing this and it supports our rescue squad and we appreciate all the town people coming and we appreciate all the help we get. We work very hard with all our functions to present a nice theme and prizes to the people,” said Ms. Pschar.
The auxiliary are volunteers who raise money to help out the First Aid & Rescue Squad and its service to the community of Manville. Last year, the auxiliary raised $7,000 and presented a check to the rescue squad at the installation dinner in February.
Dinner is being served promptly at 6 p.m. and the raffle drawings will begin after that. The auxiliary will have drawings for baskets and a 50/50. Music will be provided for the entertainment.
The all you can eat sliced filet mignon dinner also includes pasta, fries, salad, beverages and dessert for $35 per person. The proceeds are donated to the Manville Rescue Squad.
Tickets are available by calling (908) 725-3694 or call (908) 722-3865. Tickets can also be obtained from any Manville Rescue Squad or Auxiliary member. There will be a limited number of tickets available at the door.
”Bring your appetites and come join us,” said Ms. Pschar.
