Ralph Lauren, Absorba, Disney, Gymboree, and more are some of the clothing brands available in the new Kids Pass It On Consignment Boutique in town. The new boutique opened recently on South Main Street and features kids clothing.
Former Manville resident Susan (Kaschak) Delli Santi opened the consignment boutique.
”I was born and raised here and this is a building my parents have owned and this spot was empty,” she said. “I just figured it would be a good thing to help out the town as well. Another new business brings some new people to the area and helps out the other establishments in town.”
Ms. Delli Santi said she was “trying to think of a catchy name that people would say that was an ingenious name and that is different. Kids and kids are passing it on, passing their clothes onto other kids.”
”I realized a lot of people have kids clothing that they have nothing to do with. So I figured it was an extra way for some stay-at-home moms to put some extra money in their pocket and help out the economy as well. A lot of the kids clothes are like brand new and perfect for resale. They always outgrow the clothes before they wear out the clothes. Everybody who has kids knows that,” she said.
In the boutique, Ms. Delli Santi has famous brand clothing including Gymboree, Rebecca Rand Originals, Children’s Place, Carters and California brands. There are also some Ugg boots for kids as well.
Ms. Delli Santi says she is consigning whatever the season in the clothing. She works on a 50/50 commission, keeping the clothes at the boutique until they sell or the consigner wants to take them back. There are some winter clothes in the boutique now and the start of some spring clothes for sale.
Right now Ms. Delli Santi will be taking spring and summer clothes for consignment.
”Anybody has spring/summer stuff bring it in and come August or September we will start again with the fall/winter,” she said.
Sizes in the boutique start at infant up to size 14 in boys and girls and Ms. Delli Santi said she may go up to size 16.
”Anything like new clothing is welcome and we will try to sell it and shoes as well,” she said. There are also some smaller items, books and videos.
Ms. Delli Santi requests that if you would like to consign kids clothing in her new boutique, call and make an appointment during store hours so she can meet with you personally. Ms. Delli Santi can be reached at Kids Pass It On at (908) 722-5555.
The Kids Pass It On consignment boutique is located at 113 South Main St. directly behind The Jewelry Exchange with the entrance in the rear of the building. The boutique’s hours are Tuesday-Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The store is closed Sunday and Monday.
