MANVILLE: Resident charged in burglary case

SOMERVILLE — A Manville resident has been arrested and charged with burglary in Hunterdon County.
The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office announced this week that Joseph Kulcsar, 25, of North 10th Avenue, Manville, was arrested after police trailed him from Manville to East Amwell in Hunterdon County. There, police said, Mr. Kulcsar drove into the driveway of several residences, checked the houses, and pulled out.
When Mr, Kulcsar pulled into a Ridge Road residence and did not return to his car, police said they saw him come out of the front door with a water cooler bottle filled with coins. He then returned to the residence and police followed, arresting Mr. Kulcsar without incident, according to the prosecutor’s office statement.
Mr. Kulcsar was charged with third degree burglary and third degree theft. He was being held in the Hunterdon County Jail. His bail was set at $50,000 by Judge John Petronko Jr.
The arrest was the result of surveillance by the Somerset County Burglary Task Force, the prosecutor’s office said. Cooperating departments included the Somerset and Hunterdon prosecutor’s offices, Hillsborough police, Manville police, Readington Township police and the State Police.
